In 1996 Dr. San Yaat Rabbi completed his MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College, Dhaka followed by a Diploma in Ophthalmology from the National Institute of Ophthalmology in the year of 2004. He also completed his MCPS in Ophthalmology from Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons and MPH from the University of South Asia.
Dr. Rabbi is trained in laser treatment from Singapore and he was awarded a long-term Vitreo Retinal Fellowship from Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital, Dhaka. He also did a fellowship in Oculoplasty from the National Institute of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Rabbi is experienced in different eye surgeries like- Manual and Phaco Cataract Surgery (with and without injection), Oculoplastic Surgery, Glaucoma Surgery, Intravitreal Injection, Retinal Laser, Retinal Surgery, Pediatric Surgery.
Dr. Rabbi has several publications in numerous national and international Journals.
Prior to joining the Prime Bank Eye Hospital, Dr. Rabbi was working at Lions Eye Institute and Hospital, Dhaka as an Assistant Professor. He has also been working as Registrar at Lions Eye Institute and Hospital, Dhaka. Currently, he is working with the capacity of Senior Consultant at Prime Bank Eye Hospital. Dr. Rabbi was born in Dhaka on 23th of June 1970. Though he was born in Dhaka, his paternal home is in Thakurgaon. He completed his schooling at Dhaka Residential Model College.
